MICROSCHOOL
This project acts as an alternative to the typical classroom-trailerpark that is found across public schools in the United States. These allegedly temporary trailers are often used for more than 20 years, creating dingy and overly separated learning environments. This Microschool aims to provide both individual space, through a series of low nooks at the perimeter, and collective space at its open center, allowing for both privacy and observation by the teacher. The project’s deployability lies in its lightweight construction, with the main structure being made from carbon-fiber, and its limited contact with the ground, allowing for a minimally destructive interaction with the school-yard.
